Mineral Creek Spring

This spring is west of Forest Road 157, less than a mile up the Mineral Creek Trail.  It flows from the base of a hill on the south side of Mineral Creek, flows down the trail and into the creek.  On September 18, 2017 it had a steady flow as shown in the video below.  The video below may also be watched at Mineral Creek Spring, part of The Water of the Black Range video portfolio.

There was no fencing around the spring but it was in good shape, unmarred by cattle.  Other than the fact that this is a spring in the Black Range there is not much which is very dramatic about it — and that is a very good thing.

The head of the spring is shown in the photograph above, apparently a natural spring it has no improvements so there is a bit of natural debris at the site.
